So, IMS stands for IP Multimedia Subsystem, which is a fancy way of saying it's a framework that lets your device connect to the internet and make voice and video calls over Wi-Fi or 4G. It's like having a superpower that lets you chat with friends and family from anywhere, without using up your regular call minutes!
This IMS service is what enables Rich Communication Services (RCS) on your Android device. Think of RCS like a supercharged texting system that lets you send high-quality photos and videos, make group chats, and even see when someone's typing a message! It's like having a mini-social network right in your messaging app.
