Honestly, Morrisons’ New Year times are a reflection of our collective madness. We party. We sleep. We suddenly crave a loaf of bread. And Morrisons, bless them, bends time to make it happen.
Here are the New Year opening times for Hartlepool supermarkets
Some stores even open at special hours for their cafés. Imagine sipping a tea on January 2nd while staring at the wreckage of 2026. That’s poetry, my friend. Tea-soaked, slightly greasy poetry.
One more quirky fact: the store at Wythenshawe once opened at 9am on New Year’s Day while the one down the road didn’t open until 10am. Locals formed a sort of supermarket pilgrimage. Bizarre? Yes. True? Also yes.
Why This Matters (Sort Of)
We don’t talk enough about the unsung heroes of New Year: the Morrisons employees. They show up on January 1st, smile, and restock the custard. They deserve a medal. Or at least a free turkey.
And here’s the best part: the times are never the same every year. It’s like a mystery. One year, a store might open at 8am. Next year? 11am. You have to stay alert. It’s a game. A very boring, very important game.
So, to wrap this up: mark your calendar for December 31st, 2026. Check the Morrisons app. Set an alarm. And remember—if you’re reading this in 2026, the times are already history. But hey, you’ll be ready for 2027. You’re a time warrior now.
Go forth. Buy the crumpets. Conquer the hangover. Happy New Year, you magnificent grocery adventurer.
