Prop your MacBook Air at a flattering angle. You know, the one that makes your chin look sharp and your coffee mug look heroic. Light is your best friend here. Sit facing a window if you can. Avoid overhead lights unless you want to look like you’re being interrogated by a friendly robot.
Now, click the red circle button. That’s the shutter. It’s huge. You can’t miss it. Unless you’ve had too much coffee. Then everything is a blurry red circle. Just go with it.
Wait, You Wanted a REAL Photo?
Maybe you’re not into selfies. Maybe you need to photograph a receipt, a plant, or your cat judging you for eating the last slice of pizza. No problem. Flip the camera around. See that tiny camera flip icon in the bottom left? Click it. Now you’re using the back camera. It’s still the same camera, but now your cat can’t smirk at you.
Hold the laptop steady. Or better yet, set it down. Your MacBook Air is thin, not a tripod. Use a stack of books, a cereal box, or your yoga mat. Whatever works. Breathe. Press the red button again. Voilà.
