If you’ve got kids, they’ll love the woods nearby. There are bluebell carpets in spring that look like something from a fairytale. Just watch out for the occasional muddy patch. You have been warned.
Dogs? This place is a dog’s paradise. Tons of walks straight from the site. Lots of sniffs, sticks, and streams. Your pup will sleep like a log. Ours certainly did.
The Night Sky: Chefs Kiss
Here’s a little secret: the lack of streetlights means amazing stargazing. Grab a chair, wrap up warm, and look up. You’ll see the Milky Way if you’re lucky. It’s proper romantic—or just a good excuse for a nightcap.
You might hear owls. Or just silence. That deep, countryside silence that makes you realise how loud the city is. It’s therapeutic.
