In a world of constant notifications, the aurora is an analog miracle. It doesn’t bow to your schedule. It doesn’t care if you have a meeting tomorrow. It demands you slow down, look up, and be present.
So, will the aurora be visible tonight? Maybe. Perhaps not. But the act of checking, of hoping, of standing outside in the cold with a thermos of tea—that is the real gift. It’s a reminder that we are still small, the universe is still vast, and some magic cannot be planned.
Tonight, let that cosmic restlessness be your teacher. If you see the lights, congratulations—you witnessed a solar windstorm. If you don’t, you got a clear night sky, a moment of peace, and a reminder that beauty is worth waiting for. That’s a damn good night, either way.
