Bringing back Downey is like calling in the cavalry. He’s a guarantee. People will buy tickets just to see him smirk under that metal mask.
But here’s the juicy part: storytelling. Doom is the greatest villain in Marvel comics. He’s a sorcerer, a scientist, and a king. He’s fought the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, and even Doctor Strange alone.
To beat a hero like that, you need an actor who can carry a whole movie on his back. Downey can do that in his sleep.
What about the fans?
