This is the most annoying one. There’s always a village fête, a school fair, or a “Summer Sizzler” event that nobody told you about. They’ll launch fireworks at 9:45 PM on a wet Wednesday.
Why? Because the organiser bought a job lot of fireworks from a closing-down sale. Or because the local MP is visiting. Political bangs are a real phenomenon. Just roll your eyes and assume the PTA is having a good time.
