The Fans Make It
The Commanders’ fanbase is intense. They’ve been through turmoil—ownership changes, bad seasons, name controversies. Yet they show up.
You’ll see a guy in a hog mask. Another in a full Roman emperor outfit. Why? Because the old team logo was a spear-wielding warrior. Logic is optional.
They even have a “Hail to the Commanders” chant. It’s sung to the tune of “Hail to the Redskins.” The passion is real, even if the lyrics are still awkward.
