Want to fly to New York? Yes, from London City. British Airways does it with a business-class-only plane. It’s a long flight, but the landing is cinematic.
The plane used is an Airbus A321LR. It’s longer than the runway feels like a trick. But it works. You fly over the Atlantic in a plane that fits in your pocket.

Also, Dublin. You can go for a pint and be back by dinner. The flight is so short, they barely have time to serve peanuts.
Why This Matters (Besides Being Awesome)
Flying from City Airport is a vibe shift. You skip the security meltdowns of big airports. You walk from the DLR station to your gate in seven minutes.
It’s for people who hate waiting. It’s for spontaneous trips. “Fancy a wine in Bordeaux this afternoon?” Done. The plane is boarding.
It makes you feel like a secret agent. James Bond would fly from here. Definitely. He’d have a shaken martini in the lounge, not a sad sandwich in a terminal.
