If all else fails, you can play the long game. Buy a regular ticket to Thorpe Park, then immediately try to upgrade it to an annual pass on the day. Sometimes they offer a “bring a friend free” deal for pass holders. It’s a loophole that feels like using a cheat code in a video game. Just be prepared for the ticket booth person to look at you like you’re a mad scientist.
The moral of the story? Getting two-for-one tickets is a quest that involves patience, sugary bribes, and a healthy dose of internet stalking. But when you’re flying down The Swarm with your mate, laughing at the fact you paid half price, it feels like you’ve outsmarted the system. You’ll literally nod at each other mid-scream, thinking, “Yeah, we are officially budget thrill-seekers.”
So go forth. Raid the cereal aisle. Refresh your email. And remember: the only thing better than a day at Thorpe Park is a day at Thorpe Park that cost less than a takeaway pizza. Happy hunting, you magnificent bargain hunter.
