Not in the mood to leave your sofa? The BBC’s iPlayer documentary Royal Navy: Caribbean Rescue features HMS Queen Elizabeth in full action. Or fire up YouTube for 4K drone footage that makes you feel like a seabird. One creator called Airborne Lens has a stunning flyover video with >2 million views—it’s almost better than the real thing.
And for a quirky keepsake, buy the Lego Creator Expert version of HMS Queen Elizabeth (set #10277). It’s 1,000 pieces of naval precision, and assembling it takes about as long as her actual sea trials.
One Last Tip: Respect the Crew
If you spot sailors in their white working rigs near the dock, don’t bother them for photos—they’re usually exhausted from 12-hour shifts. Instead, wave from a distance. They appreciate the recognition, even if they’re dreaming of a cold beer and a dry bed.
