Hotels near the beach? Forget it. They fill up by April. Unless you’re camping in someone’s backyard, then you’re golden.
My advice: book your travel before you start buying back-to-school supplies. That way, you have something to look forward to when the kids are crying over math homework.

Oh, the sales. They’re practically a holiday tradition. Mattresses, cars, grills, and all the things you didn’t know you needed will be 30% off.
Don’t fall for it. Unless you legitimately need a new refrigerator. Then go wild. Your old lettuce will thank you.
Just be smart. The same “deal” probably comes around for Memorial Day. And July 4th. And, honestly, next Tuesday.
