The beloved BBC series will return for its fourteenth season in early 2026. Yes, you read that right. Early 2026. That’s not a typo or a fever dream.
In the UK, it will air on BBC One. For my American friends, it’ll pop up on PBS a few months later. We have to wait a little longer, but good things come to those who wait, right? Right?
So, hang onto your nurse’s cap. We’re almost there. Almost.
But Wait, What About the Christmas Special?
Ah, the annual Christmas special. It’s the real reason we survive December. We get a dose of Poplar, a spot of tinsel, and some very 1960s holiday drama. It’s like a warm hug in a snow globe.
The 2026 Christmas special is already confirmed. It will air on BBC One on Christmas Day. For the US, it usually lands on PBS a day or two later. Mark your calendars now.
That special will tide us over. It’s a little crumb of comfort before the main feast in 2026. A pre-game snack for the soul, if you will.
