Okay, you’ve got the time down, but where can you go? Your Freedom Pass works on all TfL services: buses, tubes, trams, the London Overground, the DLR, and even the Emirates Air Line cable car. Yes, you can ride a cable car across the Thames for free. That’s basically a mini-vacation.
But here’s the catch: National Rail services are a bit tricky. Your pass works on those too, but only after 9:30 AM on weekdays and all day on weekends. So, if you want to take a train to the suburbs (like to visit the giant IKEA in Wembley), you’re golden—after 9:30 on weekdays.
What About Bank Holidays?
Bank holidays are like weekends’ cool cousin. Your Freedom Pass works all day, just like a Saturday. No 9:30 rule. So, if there’s a random Monday off, grab your pass and hit the town. It’s like having a secret cheat code for travel.
