Good question! AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC? They all play nice together. There’s no “my board releases at 9:15, yours at 10:00” drama. It’s a unified, synchronized, slightly terrifying 8:00 AM for everyone. Well, almost everyone. Some international students get their results a day later due to time zones. But for the UK mainland? August 17th. Mark it. Stare at it.
If you’re doing a BTEC or Cambridge International, check with your school. They sometimes dance to a different, weirder drum. But 99% of you are looking at that Thursday in August. I’m sorry. I really am.
So, what do you do now?
You wait. You literally wait. That’s the whole game. You can panic-scroll Reddit threads, binge-watch shows about people failing exams, or you can do something wild. Like, go outside. Touch grass. Breathe.
And remember: no matter what that envelope says on Thursday 17 August, the sun will still rise. You’ll still be a ridiculous, wonderful, slightly anxious human. And there’s always pizza. Pizza never gets a U grade. So chill. You’ve got this.
Now, go mark that calendar. Thursday. 17 August. 8 AM. I’ll be thinking of you, probably with my own cup of coffee, refreshing a website I have no business looking at. We’re in this together, friend.
