What if you look it up and the game is at 4:25 PM? Or, gasp, a "late afternoon" window that bleeds into prime time? That means you have to wait. And wait. And by the time the game starts, you’ve eaten all your snacks out of pure anxiety. Been there. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Pace yourself.
And don’t even get me started on the "Sold Out" or "Blacked Out" games. Those are just the universe testing your love for the team. You might have to go to a sports bar, which is basically a bright, noisy church for football. Bring your wallet and your patience.
The Uplifting Conclusion (You’re Welcome)
So, my friend, the final, absolute, no-cheating truth about what time the Lions play today is this: It doesn’t matter. What matters is that you’re going to watch them. You’re going to cheer, you’re going to groan, you’re going to eat too many chicken wings, and you’re going to believe—really believe—that this is the year. And you know what? That’s the whole point. The time is just a number on a clock. The joy is in the game, the roar of the crowd (even if it’s just you yelling at your TV), and the feeling that for a few hours, nothing else matters.
So grab your jersey. Set your alarm. Make your dip. The Lions are playing today, at whatever time the football gods have decreed. And when the whistle blows and the ball is in the air, you’ll be right there, exactly where you’re supposed to be. Go ahead, smile. It’s game time.
