Here’s your cheat sheet. One sentence per type of game:
Home game, prime time: 7:00 PM CT, every time. It’s the law.
Home game, afternoon: 2:30 PM CT or 3:30 PM CT. Usually when the team is playing a team that rhymes with "Dummy State."
Away game: Check the local time for the other team, then convert it to your time zone if you’re not in Louisiana. Or just assume it’s 7:00 PM CT and be pleasantly surprised if it’s earlier.
How to watch LSU vs Vanderbilt today: Time, TV channel for Week 13
A game in California or Hawaii: Cancel your plans. You’re staying up until 1:00 AM. Pack snacks. This is a marathon.
The "Wait, Was It Delayed?" Worry
Oh, the dreaded lightning delay. LSU vs. a team from Florida? You might as well pack a tent. The game might start at 7:00 PM. It might start at 10:00 PM. Nobody knows.
Check the LSU football official social media account. They’ll tell you. Or just look at the sky. If it’s dark and loud, you’re on hold. If it’s clear, kickoff is imminent.
And if it’s a Thursday night game? Those are always at 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM. Nobody likes Thursday games except the TV executives. But you’ll watch anyway. Because it’s LSU.
