Okay, enough about freezing. Let’s talk about the other end of the spectrum. Rosemary loves heat. Loves it.
It thrives in temperatures up to 100°F (38°C). In fact, it laughs at the sun. It’s basically a tiny, aromatic cactus.
But even a sun-worshipper has a limit. When temps hit 110°F (43°C) and stay there for days… well, even your rosemary will start to sulk.
Signs of Heat Stress
You’ll see the needles turning a bit brown at the tips. It’s not dying—it’s just saying, “Dude, maybe some shade?”
The real trick in high heat is water. Don’t drown it, but don’t let it go totally crispy. A drink in the morning helps it sweat through the afternoon.
