Bottled water is often just tap water from another city. They put it in plastic and charge you $3 for the privilege. Scam alert.
Meanwhile, your tap water is tested hundreds of times a month. It’s monitored more heavily than the bottled stuff. So unless your pipes are made of rusty dinosaur bones, tap is usually the better bet.
And it comes from the exact same place: the sky. The ground. The ancient, buried ice-age ocean. You're just paying extra for a fancy label.
So, What's the Point?
The water from your tap is a traveler. It has been a cloud, a puddle, a glacier, a root, a stomach, a river, and a pipe. It's old. It's recycled.
And it's all yours, for a few cents. So drink up. Give a toast to the sky cow. And remember: you are mostly water. Be water, my friend. Just don't spill yourself.
