Let’s talk about the episode. Episode 8. The one where they fake a marriage proposal. But the bride is a hologram. And the ring is a fish. And the priest is an actor who quits mid-sentence because he “can’t lie about love.”
The prankee, a woman named Chloe, doesn’t just cry. She descends through the stages of grief in ten minutes. Denial: “This is a joke.” Anger: “Give me a real ring!” Bargaining: “I’ll never prank you again!”

Depression: she sits on the floor. Acceptance: she eats the fish. I have never rooted for someone so hard while simultaneously feeling bad for laughing. That moment? That’s the DNA of this season. It crosses a line, then dances on it.
The Aftermath
After Season 1, the show got a LOT of hate. People said it was cruel. And yeah, it kind of was. But you know what? It’s also hilarious. The pranksters have since apologized on social media. They even made a charity video about “rebuilding trust.”
I didn’t watch it. I’m still nursing my own trust issues from Episode 8. Every time someone I know plans a party, I check for hidden cameras. This show damaged me. And I’m grateful for it.
