There are several misconceptions floating around about these golden rabbits. Let us clear a few up.
Myth 1: Blonde bunnies are a separate breed. False. As established, it is a color variation found in many breeds.
Myth 2: They are more expensive. Not necessarily. While a show-quality blonde bunny from a top breeder can command a premium, a pet-quality blonde bunny is often the same price as any other color.
Myth 3: They are more fragile. Partially true. Their sun sensitivity is real, but otherwise, they are as hardy as any other rabbit of their breed. Proper care mitigates the risk.
Myth 4: They are always friendly. Color has no bearing on personality. A blonde bunny can be as grumpy or as sweet as any other rabbit. Temperament is determined by breed, socialization, and individual personality.
