Here’s the first curveball. England and Wales play by different rules than Scotland. It’s like they’re in a secret club.
Down south, larger Tesco stores must close their doors for Easter Sunday. But on the Monday? It’s a wild card.
Up north, the rules are looser. Many stores treat it like a regular Sunday. Confused? Good. You’re learning.
The Big Store vs. The Little Store
Your giant Tesco Extra? That behemoth of beans and bath bombs? It might have reduced hours. Think 8am to 6pm, not its usual 24-hour madness.
Your local Tesco Express? That little corner shop hero? It will almost certainly be open. It’s the scrappy underdog that never sleeps.
Check your door. If it says “Express,” you’re probably safe. If it says “Extra,” you might be gambling.
