First up: Walmart. This big blue box is your Easter miracle. Most Walmart locations are open regular hours, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. or so. You can get your eggs, your dye kit, and that last-minute chocolate bunny without a hitch.
Kroger and Albertsons are usually open, but with reduced hours. They’ll likely close around 6 p.m. or 8 p.m., so don’t wait until 9:30 to grab that butter. You’ll be making a sad, dry biscuit for dinner.
And let’s not forget Target. Target is like the cool aunt who always has snacks. Most are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Perfect for when you realize you need Easter baskets, candy, and a new outfit for brunch — all in one trip.
The Pharmacy Lifeline
Need a last-minute card for Grandma? Or maybe aspirin for that post-dinner headache from eating too many peeps? CVS and Walgreens are your besties. They are almost always open on Easter (though pharmacy hours might be shorter).
Pro tip: You can also grab a stuffed bunny, some jelly beans, and a bottle of wine there. It’s not gourmet, but it’s survival. And survival tastes like a cheap rosé.
