I know people who grew up here swear by the well water. They say it’s “healthy” because it’s full of minerals. And sure, minerals are good—in moderation.
But you know what’s also good? Not having to descale your kettle every week. Not staring at a cloudy glass of water and wondering what’s in there. Not smelling a faint chlorine aroma every time you fill a glass.
Ellsworth is a great town. The people are friendly, the sunsets are pretty, and the cheese curds are legendary. But the water? It’s a work in progress. An RO system is like hiring a personal assistant for your tap. It takes the edge off.
So, Should You Get One?
If you’re reading this, you’re probably already tempted. You’ve noticed the taste. You’ve googled “water filters” at 11 PM. You’re one step away from buying a system and becoming that person who carries a reusable bottle everywhere.
Do it. Seriously. Your taste buds will thank you. Your dishwasher will thank you. And you’ll finally win the argument with your spouse about which bottled water is “best.”
You’ll just say, “We don’t need bottles anymore. We have RO.” And then you’ll take a sip, smile, and walk away slowly. Like a boss.
Go ahead. Give yourself some cleaner water. You’ve earned it.
