Why do we do this to ourselves? Honestly, it’s the thrill. The 10 PM deadline feels like a game show. “You’ve got 90 seconds to pick a cashmere jumper or leave empty-handed!” It’s adrenaline shopping.
Also, M&S knows we’re weak. They put the cut-off late enough to tempt us, but early enough to create FOMO (fear of missing out). It’s genius. It’s evil. It’s also why I now own four identical pairs of slippers.
Final thoughts (and a gentle warning)
Don’t be a hero. Don’t try to squeeze one more item into the cart at 9:58 PM. The gods of logistics are watching. They will punish procrastination with a Monday delivery.
So, here’s your homework. Check your clock. Check your postcode. And for the love of Colin the Caterpillar, place that order before the bell tolls. Your future self will thank you.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a notification about a new “Flavour of the Month” cookie. And my alarm is set for 9:29 PM. Wish me luck.
