Imagine being a codes enforcement officer - it's like being a detective, searching for clues and solving mysteries, but instead of crimes, you're uncovering code violations. From abandoned vehicles to overgrown weeds, these officers are on the lookout for anything that's not up to code.
But, it's not all about writing tickets and issuing fines. The codes enforcement team also works with property owners to educate and assist them in getting their properties up to code. It's a team effort, with the ultimate goal of keeping Las Cruces beautiful and safe.
So, how do they find these code violations? Well, it's often through complaints from concerned citizens, or during routine inspections. It's like a treasure hunt, searching high and low for anything that's not quite right.
