So what do you do if you really need a KALLAX shelf this weekend? First, check the IKEA website. Go to their store locator page. It will show holiday hours in small, sad text.
Second, call the store directly. Yes, it’s 2026, and humans still answer phones. Ask a real person: “Hey, are you open on Bunny Day?” They’ll laugh. Or sigh. Either way, you’ll know.
Third, embrace the irony. Easter is about renewal and rebirth—perfect metaphors for reorganizing your living room. But you can’t do that if the store is locked. So maybe spend Sunday assembling that IKEA dresser you bought in 2019 and still only have three screws for.
A Glimmer of Hope
Here’s a weird loophole: IKEA’s online store never closes. It’s the ghost in the machine. You can browse fuzzy throw blankets at 3 AM on Easter Sunday while crying into your peeps.

But delivery? Yeah, that won’t happen on the holiday either. No one’s assembling a PAX wardrobe on a day of rest. That’s a federal offense in Sweden. (Not really, but it should be.)
So, the short answer: No, IKEA is not open on Easter Sunday. The long answer: Noooooooope. Nada. Closed. Go hug a bunny and come back on Monday.
