Here’s the kicker: the staff actually remember you. I went back two weeks later, and the same chap asked if my gate was sorted. It was. He grinned. That kind of service makes you feel like a regular, even if you’re just a weekend warrior.
They don’t talk down to you, either. Whether you’re a pro builder or a clueless beginner (me), they treat you the same. They’ll explain why you need pressure-treated timber vs. regular stuff. And they’ll do it without an eye roll. It’s refreshing.

Parking and Practicalities
Parking is easy, which is a miracle for a builders’ merchant. No reversing over a pile of bricks. The yard is clean and well-lit. You can actually find your car when you come out. That’s a win in my book.
Prices? They’re competitive. You won’t pay premium prices for the friendly chat. They often have special offers on bulky items like insulation or decking boards. It’s worth asking at the counter before you grab the first thing you see.
