How to Pay Gatwick Drop Off

How to Pay Gatwick Drop Off

How to Pay Gatwick Drop Offを正しく行うための具体的なステップをまとめします。

Gatwick uses an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system. Basically, a camera reads your license plate as you enter the drop-off zone, and then it decides when you leave. The fee is based on how long you linger, not how many times you wave goodbye.

If you’re in and out in 5 minutes or less, you pay £5. Stretch it to 10 minutes, and it jumps to £7. Stay longer than 10 minutes? You’ll be charged £25—and you might also get a lecture from a very polite security guard.

How To Actually Pay (It’s Not Rocket Science)

You have two choices: pay online after you drop off, or pay by phone. There’s no cash, no card machine at the barrier—because Gatwick is secretly training us all for a cashless, penguin-free future.

Option 1: Pay Online – Go to Gatwick’s official “pay for drop-off” page within 48 hours of your visit. Type in your number plate, pick your date and time, and hand over your card details. Do it before 11:59pm on the second day, or they’ll mail you a penalty charge notice that costs more than the parking itself.

Option 2: Pay by Phone – Call the number shown on the giant signs in the drop-off zone. Have your credit card ready, and be prepared to read your number plate out loud. Try not to say “B as in banana, 7 as in… seven?” – they’re used to it, but it’s still awkward.
