Look at the top of your Gmail screen. See that long search bar? That’s not just for finding that email from your aunt about her cat’s birthday. Click the little downward arrow on the right side of the bar—it opens the advanced search menu. This is your command center.
Here, you can tell Gmail: “Hey, find all emails from newsletter@spam.com” or “Show me every message with the word ‘puppy’ in it.” Type in your criteria—like From a specific sender or Subject with keywords. Don’t worry about being perfect; you can tweak it later.
Once you’ve set your search, click the blue Create filter link at the bottom of that menu. It’s like saying “Abracadabra” to your inbox clutter.
