Forget squinting or crossing your eyes. That usually backfires. Instead, try the “look through the window” technique. Imagine the picture is a window, and you’re staring at something far away behind it.
Hold the image right up to your nose. Like, really close. Your eyes will feel goofy, and the pattern will be completely blurry. That’s fine—you’re resetting your focus.
Now, very slowly pull the picture away from your face—about arm’s length. Keep that “far away” stare the whole time. Don’t try to see the little dots; let your mind go blank.

When the Magic Happens
At first, you’ll just see the blurry pattern. But then, something shifts. The colors might seem to float, or the pattern might look like it’s behind a glass sheet. Don’t blink too hard!
If you feel a slight pulling sensation in your eyes, that’s perfect. That’s the lock-in moment. Suddenly, a shape will rise out of the flatness, like a ghost stepping out of a wall.
It’s deeply satisfying—like popping bubble wrap, but for your brain. And once you see it, you can’t unsee it. You’ll be able to do it again in seconds.
