Let’s be real: dirt kills value. A kilo of dusty, greasy LEGO from a garage sale? Expect $10–$15. A kilo of freshly washed, sun-dried bricks? You’re looking at $50 easy.
Pro tip: never wash LEGO in the dishwasher. The heat warps them. A gentle hand wash in cold water, and you’ve legitimately upgraded your net worth. You’re welcome.

What About New, Sealed Sets?
Oh, honey. Sealed boxes are a different universe. A 5-kilo set from 2010, unopened, could be $200 per kilo. But you’re not selling by weight then – you’re selling a time capsule.
But if you rip open that box and play with it? Suddenly it’s “used.” Weight pricing kicks in. So if you still have your Millennium Falcon box unopened, lock it in a vault. Actually, just lock it in your closet.
