For a standard baby passport (that’s a 34-page passport for a child under 16), the cost is £53.50 if you apply online. That’s it. Yes, really. If you prefer to send in a paper form, it’s a bit more at £64.00—plus the cost of a stamp and a trip to the post office, which honestly feels like using a flip phone in 2026. Online is the way to go, and you can save a tenner for a coffee and a biscuit while you wait.
Why That Price Feels Like a Bargain (Sort Of)
Think about it: a baby passport lasts for five years. That works out to less than £11 a year. For comparison, that’s cheaper than a single takeaway pizza or a small bag of nappies these days. And it opens the door to memories like your baby’s first splash in the Mediterranean or their first plane-induced gummy smile. Honestly, it’s the best value subscription you’ll ever buy—no monthly fees, just pure adventure.
