Let’s start with the elephant in the room: the Indian Premier League. That’s where the real gold is buried. A top player can bag a contract worth 18 crore rupees (roughly $2.4 million) for just a few weeks of work. Yeah, you read that right—two months of cricket and you’re set for life.
But not everyone is a superstar like Virat Kohli or Pat Cummins. Most IPL players earn between 20 lakh and 1 crore rupees, depending on their fame and skill. Even the base price—30 lakh rupees—is more than most of us see in a year. And that’s just base salary; bonuses for winning matches or hitting sixes pile up like toppings on a pizza.
