You might’ve seen H- (hydride ion). That’s the complete opposite—it has two electrons. Talk about a party animal.
H+ is the introvert who shows up, steals your snacks, and leaves. H- is the extrovert who brings snacks, steals your charger, and stays until 3 a.m.
But back to H+: it’s the smallest cation in the universe. No electrons means it’s basically a tiny, angry proton with zero baggage. Literally.
A Quick Joke Break
Why did H+ break up with its electron? Because the electron was always negative. (Ba-dum-tss!)
Protons, Neutrons, Electrons for Hydrogen (H and H+, H-)
Okay, now back to serious science. But barely.
