You might think, “I’ll leave my cat alone for a weekend—it’ll be fine.” Not so fast. Even if they can hold it for 48 hours, they shouldn’t have to. Holding pee for that long increases the risk of urinary tract infections and crystals. Always have someone check in daily to refresh water and scoop the box.
If you don’t, you might come home to a pee-stained rug and a Very Angry Cat. And trust me, a vengeful cat is not a fun homecoming.
