Measuring height isn’t just for fit. It’s for leveling. A wobbly stove is a sad clown. Everything slides to one side.
Put a level on the grates. If the bubble is off-center, twist the little feet. Every stove has tiny metal legs. They’re like action figures for adults.
Level it, or your pancakes will all be trapezoids. You don’t want trapezoid pancakes. They taste like regret.
One More Weird Thing: The Door Swing
Stove doors open down or sideways. That’s a measurement, too.
A drop-down door needs space in front. You can’t open it if your fridge is three inches away. Suddenly, you own a very expensive breadbox.
A side-swing door needs space on the left or right. Measure that gap. Or just accept that you’ll be cooking with one hand forever.
