Let’s bring it home. A 20-meter diving pool is deep enough to lose a small car in. It’s deep enough that you can’t see the bottom unless the water is perfectly clear and the sun is out. It’s deep enough that your brain screams “no” when you look down.
But it’s also deep enough to feel like you’re flying. When you surface after a gentle dive, you break through the water with a huge gasp. The world rushes back in. And you realize: you just visited a place most people only see in dreams.
So, next time someone asks, “How deep is a 20-meter pool?” just smile and say: “Deep enough to make you feel very, very small. And very, very alive.” Also, maybe don’t try it after a big lunch.
Cheers, and stay safe out there, you beautiful deep-end dreamer.
