So, from moment to moment, you're basically just trying to keep an eye on the animatronics and make sure they don't sneak into your office. You've got limited power, so you have to be super strategic about when you close doors, turn on lights, and use the security cameras to keep an eye on things. It's so satisfying when you manage to make it through a night without getting jump-scared to death!
One of the coolest things about Five Nights At Freddy's is the way the animatronics seem to develop their own little personalities as you play. You'll start to notice that certain characters are more likely to sneak up on you, or that others are super fast and can catch you off guard. It's pretty weird, but also kind of brilliant, how the game can make you feel like you're really getting to know these creepy robots.
