The VMAs are all about celebrating the best of the best in music, and in 2018, the competition was fierce. We're talking about artists like Cardi B, Drake, and Ariana Grande - all of whom had huge years in music. It was like trying to choose the best pizza topping - they're all delicious, but only one can be the best!
But, the Carters were nominated for their song "Apesht", which was part of their joint album "Everything Is Love". This song was like a power punch to the music industry - it was energetic, catchy, and all about embracing your individuality. And, let's be real, who doesn't love a good underdog story - the Carters were like the underdogs who came out on top!
