Rumors about the game's delay have been circulating like crazy, with some sources claiming that Rockstar is having trouble meeting the November deadline. But, as it often does, the internet got a little carried away with the speculation, and before we knew it, GTA 6 was supposedly being pushed back to 2028 or even 2029! Thankfully, Rockstar decided to step in and put the rumors to bed, confirming that everything is still on track for a 2026 release.
Now, we know what you're thinking... what's the hold up? Why is it taking Rockstar so long to get GTA 6 out the door? Well, it's worth noting that the game is being developed by a team of over 1,000 people, which is roughly the size of a small army. And let's not forget, GTA 6 is going to be a monumental game, with a scope and scale that's never been seen before in the series.
In fact, did you know that Rockstar has been working on GTA 6 since 2013, just a year after GTA 5 was released? That's a whopping 13 years in development, which is even longer than some of the most ambitious film projects in Hollywood. But hey, as the old adage goes, good things come to those who wait, and we're willing to bet that GTA 6 is going to be well worth the wait.
