Your dryer is a desert warrior. High heat for at least 30 minutes finishes the job. Germs hate dryness like vampires hate sunlight.
Sun-drying outdoors is even better. UV rays are nature’s disinfectant. Just don’t leave your delicates out during a bird migration.
But if your laundry is perfectly clean and you just want to freshen it? Skip the wash. The dryer alone won’t kill anything.

Please, for the love of lint traps, don’t wash a load of bleach with your fancy activewear. That neon sports bra will turn into a sad, yellow ghost.
And never start laundry if your machine has a “sanitize” cycle you don’t understand. Read the manual. I know. It hurts. Do it anyway.
