Did you know Scotland has different bank holidays? Yes, the Scots get their own moody schedule. A post office in Edinburgh might be closed for a random Monday, but open in London. Chaos. Pure, bureaucratic chaos.
There’s also the Easter Weekend Fiasco. Good Friday? Closed. Easter Monday? Closed. Easter Sunday? Obviously closed. You might think “surely Saturday is safe?” Wrong. Many close early on Saturdays just to flex.

Fun Fact: The Oldest Trick
Some post offices trick you with “Bank Holiday Hours.” This is a polite way of saying “we’re closing at lunch.” You arrive at 1:05 PM, and the lights are off. The staff is gone. They’re at home, laughing and eating hot cross buns.
And here’s a weird one: Royal Mail doesn’t recognize all bank holidays. For example, they ignore Good Friday in some places but not others. It’s like a secret code only postal workers understand.
