So, back to that wedding. I eventually downloaded an app and hijacked the tablet. We spent the last hour of the reception doing nothing but taking strips of ourselves with silly hats. The disposable camera stayed in my bag, completely unused.
I don’t think the wedding photographer captured that specific energy. But our Android device did. It caught the blur of a happy dance and the shine of a very cheap, very joyful tiara.
So go ahead. Download one. Find the weirdest filter you can. Hand your phone to a friend and make a stupid face. The world is serious enough. Let your photo booth app be the place where you act a fool on purpose.
And seriously, if the app has a moustache filter, just use it. It’s mandatory.
